Cap Accel, LP, a San Francisco, CA-based merchant bank and advisory firm for the marketplace lending industry, received an equity investment of undisclosed amount.
The investment was led by Valley Next Gen Ventures LLC with participation from George W. Wellde Jr., formerly Vice Chairman of the Securities Division at Goldman Sachs and currently Director on the Board of Fortress Investment Group LLC, and Barney Schauble, Managing Partner of Nephila Advisors LLC.
Led by Jae Lim and Chris Lalli, former co-heads of capital markets at SoFi, Cap Accel works with marketplace and alternative lenders to accelerate access to diverse sources of capital and grow and scale their business through institutional funding that complements individual investments.
Its suite of services include: pre-capital raise due diligence reviews, capital raising, ongoing capital markets advisory and business development.
