Shareaholic Raises $2.3M in Funding

shareaholicShareaholic, a Boston, MA-based provider of a native advertisement suite, raised $2.3m in funding.

Backers included Kepha Partners, General Catalyst and NextView Ventures.

The company, which has raised $7.8m to date, intends to use the funds to begin to roll out its suite for publishers.

Founded in 2009 by Jay Meattle, CEO, Shareaholic provides a content discovery, amplification and engagement platform for marketers and publishers to promote their content.
Specific to marketers, the platform increases native ad performance by leveraging influencers and evangelists. For site owners, the company builds products that help them engage and grow their online audiences, monetize their traffic, and analyze how their content is being shared across the web.
It currently connects 420 million people with content and native ads.
