Paintzen Closes $1.81M Seed Funding

logo-paintzenPaintzen, a New York City and San Francisco, CA-based platform that provides on-demand painting services for homeowners and businesses, closed $1.81m in seed funding.

Backers included Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Nextview Ventures, Quotidian Ventures, Angelpad and Barbara Corcoran.

The company intends to use the funds for continued growth and expansion, building technology on the back end and hiring of new people.

Led by Michael Russell, CEO and Co-Founder, Paintzen is a platform that allows home and office clients to find, book and customize their paint jobs to fit their personalized needs, managing the logistics on both sides. The service handles all aspects of every painting job including paint, supplies, insurance, tax, and tip.  It has already painted 1,600,000 square feet of walls in New York City alone, and has painted over 4,000 rooms.
