Move Guides, a NYC-based cloud-based platform for moving employees around for new projects, re-locations and projects, raised $8.2m in Series A funding.
The round was led by New Enterprise Associates with participation from existing investors Notion Capital and individual investors Andy Leaver and David Windley. In conjunction with the funding, NEA partner Ravi Viswanathan, joined Move Guides’ Board.
Founded in 2011 by Brynne Herbert, MOVE Guides provides companies, governments, universities and other institutions with a cloud based platform and a dedicated team that combine employee move planning, company mobility management and global vendors (shipping, real estate, immigration, tax, etc.) across more than 150 locations.
Along with funding, the company, which had offices in London, New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong, has also expanded into Hong Kong and hired Alex Wood, vice president of global sales.
Clients include SurveyMonkey and lululemon athletica, among others.
