Exostar Raises $5.0M in Funding

exostarExostar, a Herndon, Va.-based provider of cloud solutions that enable business-to-business collaboration, raised $5.0m in funding.

The investment was made by the Merck Global Health Innovation Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth and expansion of their healthcare and life science business.

Led by Richard Addi, CEO, Exostar provides a cloud-based authentication identity platform for the healthcare industry, Secure Access Manager (SAM), that connects customers with other organizations across large communities of users. It currently includes more than 600 life science focused companies, government agencies and universities supporting the collaboration initiatives of thousands of individuals.
