Tinybeans Raises AU$2M

Tinybeans, a Sidney, Australia-based social network for families, raised AU$2m in funding.

Backers include high net worth private investors.

The company intends to use the funds for global expansion with plans to set up operations in 2015 in the US (its biggest market), followed by China and SE Asia, and product development to improve the customer experience.

Co-founded in 2012 by Eddie Geller, Stephen O’Young and Sarah-Jane Kurtini, Tinybeans is a social network built to help families raise their children and share photos privately and securely.
It currently has 500,000 current users and aims to reach 1 million by end of 2014.
