Maven Capital Partners and Spirit Capital Sell Adler and Allan to LDC

adlerandallan-logoMaven Capital Partners and Spirit Capital sold their holding in Adler and Allan, a Harrogate, UK-based environmental services business, via a secondary buy-out funded by LDC for an undisclosed sum.

LDC has taken a significant minority stake in the company, with the backing of senior debt facilities from HSBC. The investment will support the organic growth of the business, development of its existing product and service offering and deliver funds for opportunistic acquisitions.

Maven and Spirit Capital Partners invested in Adler and Allan in 2007 to support the growth and commercial development of the business, before later backing a series of acquisitions including E&S Environmental, Cleanex and AJ Bayliss.

Established in 1926, Adler and Allan prpvides oil and environmental services specializing in the handling, transport, clean-up and disposal of oil based and other hazardous waste.
Led by Managing Director Mark Calvert, who joined the company in 1993, alongside Commercial Director Henry Simpson, Business Development Director Henrik Pedersen, Operations Director Andrew Clarke, Finance Director James Collier and Compliance Director Keith Potts, the company employs 450 staff across its 24 UK depots, with annual turnover in excess of £60m.
