E la Carte, a Redwood City, Calif-based restaurant tech startup, raised $35m in funding.
Backers included Intel Capital, Romulus Capital, TriplePoint Capital and Sam Altman.
The company, which has now raised more than $50m, intends to use the funds to accelerate continued growth and to expand hiring for product development and sales.
Led by Rajat Suri, Founder and CEO, E la Carte has created the Presto platform which equips restaurants with guest-facing tablets. Guests control their dining experience from the tabletop menu, with the ability to view, order, interact with content and games, and pay (even splitting checks) without having to wait.
The company reports that its revenue has been growing at 30% month-over-month during 2014. It also expects to process close to $1 billion in restaurant transactions annually by the end of 2014.
