The company is using the funds for a worldwide launch on multiple platforms (in the fall) while expanding its four-person team with a number of iOS and Android developers (read here).

Co-founded by Jeff Baxter and Thomas Gayno, Cord Project provides Cord, an app for simple “one tap voice chat” across a wide variety of devices. An early version of the application is now available on iOS while a full release on Android (and iOS as well) is expected in the fall of 2014.
