Conservis Closes $10M Series A Financing

conservisConservis Corporation, a Minneapolis-based provider of cloud-based farm management software solutions, closed a $10m Series A financing.

The round was led by Cultivian Sandbox Ventures, with participation from existing investors Middleland Capital and Heartland Farms. As part of its investment, Cultivian Sandbox named former Monsanto Chairman and CEO Robert Shapiro to the Conservis board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its software platform, increase integration efforts and support geographic expansion.

Founded in 2009 by Patrick Christie, founder and chief executive officer, Conservis provides a farm management platform for farms across the U.S., Canada, Australia and Russia to make management decisions based on data. Garmers can access to a cloud-based database from mobile devices and desktops, create professional reports and share them with partners, banks, insurance companies, landlords and other stakeholders.
They can also plan purchases and activities, then identify and verify that their production is on target and make adjustments in real time as needed.
