Social Tables, a Washington, DC-based SaaS platform that brings sales and operations tools to hospitality professionals, secured $8m in Series A funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $9.6m, was led by Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) with participation from Thayer Ventures and previous investors Militello Capital, 500 Startups, Middleland Capital and Fortify Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand adoption of its platform.
Led by Dan Berger, CEO and Founder, and Trevor Lynn, CMO, Social Tables provides the hospitality industry with a desktop and mobile product suite including online sales and marketing solutions, 2D and 3D room diagramming, business intelligence for hotels, and event attendee management.
The company has 2,500 customers ranging from hotel chains such as the Hyatt Hotel Corporation to academic special events teams from Harvard Business School to corporate meeting teams such as Genentech.
