Portfolium, a San Diego, CA-based based academic portfolio platform for students, alumni, and their institutions to showcase projects, skills, and experiences, raised $900k in seed funding.
Backers included Tech Coast Angels and San Diego-based Taner Halicioglu of Keshif Ventures.
Led by CEO Adam Markowitz, Portfolium provides a cloud-based platform that allows students, alumni, and their institutions to visually showcase projects, skills, and experiences, via media-rich portfolios. It combines features typically reserved for social and professional networking platforms with the ability to create and aggregate multimedia content from across the web.
The company, currently based in San Diego out of the EvoNexus incubator, also signed a contract with the University of California to utilize their platform campus-wide.
