prep4gmatLTG Exam Prep Platform, a Boston, Mass.-based education technology startup, received $3m in funding.

The round was led by Tal Education Group, with participation from Atlas Venture, Jamie McCourt, Margot Carter, Yongjin Group and Zhen Fund.

The company intends to use the funds for the development of its mobile study apps.

Led by Elad Shoushan, founder and CEO and a recent MIT Sloan alum, LTG Exam Prep Platform provides mobile study apps that provide standardized test prep tools to students around the world.
The apps, which contain practice questions and flashcards as well as a tutor marketplace giving students real-time access to certified tutors, use proprietary algorithms developed at MIT to create personalized study courses for each app user.
Its first app, Prep4GMAT for the Graduate Management Admission Test, is currently one of the top ranked apps on the iTunes App Store, in the US & India, and top ten in China. Over 100,000 students currently use the iOS version of Prep4GMAT, and the Android version was just released last week. A second app for the SAT is now in development.
