GetTaxi Raises $25M

GetTaxi_LogoGetTaxi, a provider of a taxi app, raised $25m as a part of a targeted $150m round.

Swedish publicly traded investment fund Vostok Nafta made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to launch its corporate solution in New York City as well as to expand its business product in London, where it serves businesses with black cabs, and into key cities in Europe.

Founded in 2010, GetTaxi provides a free app for iPhone and Android that lets users instantly book a taxi ride into 24 cities globally, including New York (Operating as Gett) , London, Moscow, St Petersburg and Tel Aviv. It has a portfolio of over 1,500 corporate clients, including the majority of the Fortune 500.

The company expects to hit a run rate of $150M in revenues by the end of this year.
