equidam-logo-squareEquidam, a Rotterdam, The Netherlands-based company valuation platform, raised €225K in seed funding.

The round was led by a syndicate of Dutch angels, among which representatives of the financial sector and serial startup investors.

The company, which has now raised nearly €300K in total, intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand the functionality of the platform. It focuses on sales expansion, customer adoption and a new product line.

Led by Italians Gianluca Valentini, Daniel Faloppa, and Francesco Lisandro, Equidam offers a cloud-based system that allows users to generate a valuation report for their companies. The platform can also be used to improve the information transparency on crowdfunding platforms.
To date, it has been used by more than 1500 entrepreneurs since August 2013.

According to a written note, the founders turned down a 100% acquisition offer by Symbid, the U.S.-listed crowdfunding platform, who will still preserve a minority participation in Equidam.
