AirStrip, a San Antonio, Texas-based provider of mobile healthcare applications, raised $25m in funding.
Backers included the Gary and Mary West Health Investment Fund, Sequoia Capital, Wellcome Trust Dignity Health, St. Joseph Health (SJH), Leerink Partners, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and Qualcomm Inc.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow the patent-protected AirStrip ONE® mobile technology solutions, expand into the home health space, expand globally, and accelerate integration with leading analytics engines.
Led by CEO Alan Portela, AirStrip provides a complete, vendor- and data source-agnostic enterprise-wide clinical mobility solution, which enables health systems to access to critical patient data across the care continuum.
Customers includes HCA, Texas Health Resources, Tenet Healthcare, Dignity Health, St. Joseph Health and Ardent Health Services.
