According to local reports (read here), hardware, software and services company Acer has launched a new venture capital initiative.
With an amount of US$33.5m, the company aims to make long-term investments to strengthen technology development generate financial returns.
Reports said that the Asian giant has appointed an external executive as the fund investment director. He will join on September, 1st, 2014.
Established in 1976, Acer offers PCs, displays, projectors, servers, tablets and smartphones and employs 7,400 people.
