Trendrating, a London and New York-based provider of proven market and portfolio analytics to global investment managers, raised $1m in seed financing.
Backers included New York based Angelic Ventures, a family office headed by former Thomson Reuters CEO, Tom Glocer, who is also Chairman of the Trendrating Advisory Board, with participation from a group of European angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand sales operations in London and New York.
Led by CEO Rocco Pellegrinelli, Trendrating develops portfolio analysis tools for professional investors. The company’s multi-factor model has been tested over 25 years on 500,000+ time series covering 20,000 Stocks, Currencies, Indices and ETFs. Trendrating issues Grades to assess the direction and quality of medium-long term price trends for Equities, Indices, Sectors, ETFs and Currencies and filters out price swings and false moves to identify true underlying trends.
