PredictionIO, a California-based open source machine learning servicer for programmers and developers, closed a $2.5m seed funding.
Backers included QuestVP, Azure Capital, CrunchFund, Stanford – StartX Fund, Kima Ventures, IronFire, Sood Ventures and XG Ventures.
Led by Simon Chan, Co-Founder and CEO, and Donald Szeto, CTO, PredictionIO is an Open Source Machine Learning server for programmers/developers ranging from individual developers to international enterprises to build smarter apps in verticals such as e-commerce, fashion suggestion, retails, food delivery, video portal, news media, app stores etc.
