OpenEd Raises $2M in Seed Funding

openedOpenEd, a Los Gatos, CA-based K-12 educational resource catalog, raised $2m in seed funding.

PivotNorth Capital made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to build out additional capabilities and apps for resource-oriented education.

Founded in 2012, OpenEd provides teachers and parents with a free tool to find videos, games and assessments that enliven lesson plans and aid students in class or at home. In addition, it offers a new free assessment creation tool for teachers to create assessments while associating resources to individual questions.
