Jobandtalent Raises $14M in Series A Funding

jobandtalentJobandtalent, a Madrid, Spain- and London, UK-based app and web platform that uses role matching technology to help candidates find a job, raised $14m in Series A funding.

Backers included Qualitas Equity Partners, Kibo Ventures, FJME Ventures and business angels Pelayo Cortina Koplowitz and Nicolas Luca de Tena.

The company intends to use the funds to further grow within Europe and Latin America, as well as expand into the U.S market.

Led by Co-CEOs and co-founders Felipe Navio, and Juan Urdiales, Jobandtalent has developed language and career path analysis technology, plus a machine learning process, to help people find the perfect job. When a new user registers on jobandtalent, they are asked to upload their professional profile, which is then used to match them with ideal job openings. Once the technology matches a job listing with a candidate, a notification is automatically sent to the jobseeker to alert them to the vacancy.
It has a user base with over 1.75 million registered candidates and an average monthly growth of 200,000 users. Over 2.5 million jobs are also posted on jobandtalent every month, from various companies including Amazon, Deloitte, G4S and Kelloggs.

The company has also added Felix Ruiz, founder of Tuenti.com (which was sold to Telefonica for $100M), to the management team, after being an angel investor and board member for the last two years. Bill Boorman, the Founder of #tru events, joined the advisory board.
