Green Charge Networks Raises $56M in Funding

Green Charge Networks, a Santa Clara, CA-based provider of intelligent energy storage, raised $56m in funding.

K Road DG is providing the funding.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate deployment of its proprietary GreenStationTM under Green Charge’s Power Efficiency AgreementSM (PEASM).

Founded in 2009 Led by Vic Shao, CEO, Green Charge markets an energy storage product proven to reduce power demand charges for commercial and industrial customers on their monthly utility bills. Its GreenStationTM has been installed by 7-Eleven, Walgreens, UPS, school campuses, and cities across New York and California.
Now with the PEASM, the company will own and operate energy storage assets deployed at customer sites, while providing the customer with a combination of utility bill savings, zero capital and maintenance costs, and mitigated performance risk.

Green Charge Networks also has offices in New York City.
