Comfy Raises $600K in Seed Funding

rentcomfyComfy, an Austin, TX-based rental marketplace that allows students to discover and secure housing, raised $600k in seed funding.

The round was led by Mike Lee, partner at Dominion Ventures with participation from Austin Ventures, former Brocade Communication Systems CEO and founder of Rhapsody Networks Mike Klayko, former Skull Candy CEO Jeremy Andrus, Mark Harris, Jared Stone, and others.

The company intends to use the funds to scale into select geographic markets.

Led by Co-Founder and CEO Jordan Wright, Comfy has developed a mobile and web platform that uses a proprietary algorithm to leverage online feedback and match college and university students with landlords for off-campus housing.
