ZMP Receives Investment from Intel Capital Connected Car Fund

zmpZMP Inc., a Tokyo, Japan-based developer of autonomous driving technologies, received an equity investment from the Intel Capital Connected Car Fund.

The amount of the investment were not released.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of autonomous and assisted driving technologies.

Founded in 2001 and led by Hisashi Taniguchi, CEO, ZMP develops and offers autonomous driving technologies including car robotics platforms, various sensor systems, visualization and analytics, tech consulting and field operational testing, and connected car informatics. The company also offers services and applications that can be tailored for each customer, such as safety driving, eco driving and infotainment. Its RoboCar® Series helps customers develop autonomous driving and advanced safety technologies and driver assist systems, and collect, measure and analyze their vehicle information and external environmental data.
