Uni2 Raises £50K in Funding

Uni2Uni2, a Birmingham, UK-based lifestyle business for university students, raised £50k in funding.

Backers included venture capital firm Midven, which made the investment through its Early Advantage fund, and private investors.

The company is using the funds to open an office in Birmingham and to roll out the Uni2 app, further developing its reach throughout the West Midlands and beyond.

Founded in 2012 by Simon Jacobs, Uni2 has developed a portfolio of complementary brands comprising of:
Uni2 Know – a magazine containing news, views and advice for students.
Uni2 Rent – a student letting agency offering management services to landlords and providing students with “Mum On Call”, a service that offers contents insurance, cleaning services, and cooked meals delivered to their door.
Uni2 Study – providing full concierge service to overseas students studying in the UK.
Uni2 Party – an events company, organizing and hosting weekly events and party destinations throughout Europe.
