Pixia, a Reston, VA-based developer of big-data access solutions, received an investment from Enlightenment Capital.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Co-Founded by Rudi and Pat Ernst, Pixia specializes in the development of software solutions that enable customers to access, in real-time, high-volume datasets such as wide area surveillance imagery, full motion video, and light detection and ranging data from a wide variety of sensor platforms. Its solutions combine data from these sources into a common operating platform, transforming multiple sets of disparate datasets into a cohesive geospatial information environment.
The software is currently used by federal agencies including the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
