Gild Completes $13.5M Series B Financing

gildGild, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a platform for companies to find, engage and evaluate tech talent with data and intelligence, completed a $13.5m Series B financing.

The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Draper Nexus (a DFJ fund) and existing investors Steve Anderson of Baseline Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners, SAP Ventures, Correlation Ventures, and Mark Kvamme of Drive Capital.

The company, which has raised a total of $27m, intends to use the funds to to scale its business.

Led by co-founder and CEO Sheeroy Desai, Gild has developed products that aims to drive collaboration across entire hiring teams to help companies find, screen and select the developers they need.
By combining Big Data techniques with patent-pending algorithms that evaluate skills, it provides skills analysis for companies to find developers who have proven, verified skills, regardless of SEO resume keywords and traditional filters.
Its solutions are now used by over 250 companies worldwide including, Gilt, Microsoft, and TripAdvisor.
The company also has offices in Salt Lake City and Milan.
