FilterBoxx, a Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based provider of water treatment solutions for industrial, municipal, resort and aboriginal clients, raised $14.7m in funding.
A second tranche will follow.
The round was led by an unnamed Swiss family office that specializes in technology, energy and natural resources, with participation from previous investors XPV Capital Corp. and EnerTech Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into new and emerging markets and continue to grow in Alberta.
Led by Mr. Larry Novachis, Chief Executive Officer, FilterBoxx Water & Environmental operates subsidiaries as FilterBoxx Packaged Water Solutions and FilterBoxx Energy Services.
Packaged Water Solutions supplies standard and custom water and wastewater treatment systems. FilterBoxx Energy Services provides Rental Equipment, Services and Plant Operations to a rental fleet of water and wastewater treatment systems and supports our Design-Build-Own-Operate (DBOO) plants operating throughout Canada and the USA.
