Aerospike Raises $20M in Series C VC Funding

aerospike_logo03_secondaryAerospike Inc., a Mountain View, CA-based provider of a flash-optimized in-memory NoSQL database, raised $20m in Series C venture capital funding.

The round was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) with participation from Columbus Nova Technology Partners, Alsop Louie Partners, Regis McKenna, and others. In conjunction with the round of financing, Kittu Kolluri, NEA general partner; Mohsen Moazami, CNTP managing director; and Gilman Louie of Alsop Louie Partners are joining Aerospike’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its developer community and engineering and support teams, as well as its global sales and marketing initiatives.

Led by Joe Gottlieb, CEO, Aerospike provides an in-memory NoSQL database to speed multi-channel Web and mobile applications that combine transactions and hot analytics, and process billions of objects, 20K-2M+ transactions per second (TPS) and 100GB-100TB+ of data with predictable sub-millisecond latency and ACID reliability.
It is used in financial services, telecommunications, and retail sectors.
Customers include AppNexus, eXelate, Chango and [x+1].
