Posiq Raises $3.2M in Series A Funding

Posiq, a San Jose, California-based provider of a CRM platform for restaurants and brands, raised $3.2m in Series A funding.

Backers included Thayer Ventures, SVG Partners, Burton “Skip” Sack, William S. McKiernan, Leland Pillsbury, and Tony Isaac. In conjunction with the funding, Chris Hemmeter and John Stanton joined Posiq’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds for ongoing product development and expanding sales channels.

Founded in 2012 by Rick Onyon, CEO, Posiq has developed a proprietary CRM platform that connects with existing on premise, PC, tablet or cloud based Point of Sale systems already in use by the restaurant industry and mobile phone technology to monitor and engage guests each time they visit, learning detailed purchase habits, brand and dietary preferences, as well as demographic and social profiles.
