Oxygen Ventures offers up to $5M to Australian Startups

Oxygen Ventures, an Australian venture fund, has launched a call to offer up to $5m in seed funding, resources and business mentoring, to startups who aim to go global with their innovative solutions.

It will do it in the framewok of The BIG Pitch,  a forum for Australian digital startups to showcase a game-changing concept, which will take place on June 17 in Melbourne, Australia.

The venture fund is putting out the call to Australian digital startups who need funding, mentoring and operational support.

The applications are currently open until midnight on June 5 . A shortlist of five finalists will be selected in early June to pitch live for access to the funding and mentoring services.

Oxygen Ventures is seeking globally scalable, innovative technology startups at the pre-commercialized or newly-launched phase, and who are primed to disrupt their industry.

The judging panel includes founder of Dodo and Oxygen Ventures Larry Kestelman, BlueChilli founder Sebastian Eckersley-Maslin, Ten Network Director and CEO of George Patterson Y & R Russel Howcroft and Oxygen Ventures’ Ilya Frolov.

The finalists will pitch in front of an audience at Deakin Edge, Fed Square, Melbourne, June 17, 2014.
