Lua Raises $7.5M in Series A Funding

luaLua, a New York City-based mobile-first coordination solution for teams, raised $7.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Abundance Partners with participation from Strauss Zelnick (ZelnickMedia, Take-Two Interactive Software), Aaron Stone (Apollo Global Management), and John Maloney.

The company, which has raised $10M in total, intends to use the funds to expand adoption of its solution.

Led by Michael DeFranco, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Lua provides an enterprise-grade coordination solution to teams across client services, mobile sales and events management.
Available on iOS, Android and Web, it offers a cross-platform solution that includes a centralized corporate directory, a messaging and calling system, file attachment storage, and accountability across a team.
Launched in in January 2014, the solution has been used by hundreds of organizations for their coordination needs. Clients range from 20-500 users.
