Kamcord Raises $7.1M in Series A Funding

Kamcord, a San Francisco, CA-based mobile gameplay recording and sharing platform, raised $7.1m in Series A funding.

The round was led by TransLink Capital, with participation from SV Angel, DeNA, KLab, M&Y Growth Partners and existing investors Innovation Works, XG Ventures, and Mark Williamson.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its new app and accelerate adoption of its gameplay recording solution in Asia.

Led by Matt Zitzmann, Co-founder and CEO, Kamcord had developed a mobile gameplay recording and sharing technology. Its free SDK allows developers to address the persistent problems of user acquisition, retention, and engagement by enabling players to share and watch videos from their mobile games.
Developers include Acceleroto, Bossa Studios, BulkyPix, CMUNE, Colopl, Crescent Moon Games, Deemedya, DeNA, Djinnworks, Limbic Software, Namco Bandai, Pangea Software, PennyPop, Pixowl, and Triniti Interactive.
