Golgi Launches with $5M in Funding

Golgi_Logo_(low-res)Golgi, a Mountain View, California-based data transfer platform for apps and connected devices, is launching today with $5m in funding.

Openmind Networks backed the company.

Founded in 2013 founded in 2013 out of Openmind, Golgi provides developers with a data transport platform and code generation tools to transfer apps and connected devices.
The tools let developers create data-transfer code, which they can plug right into their program. Then, the platform keeps the app up-to-date with the latest messages, news, profile updates, worldwide high scores and notifications from connected devices.
The solution also offers back-end push communication and a store-and-forward system that keeps track of updates during poor network conditions and makes sure apps update the moment they regain wireless connection.

Starting today, developers can register for Golgi by visiting https://devs.golgi.io/register.
