Updater Completes $8M Series A Financing

updater_logoUpdater, a New York City-based relocation web application for Americans who are moving, completed an $8m Series A financing.

Backers included SoftBank Capital, Second Century Ventures (the strategic investment arm of the National Association of REALTORS), IA Ventures and Commerce Ventures.

The company, which had already announced a $5m Series A round in May 2013 (read here) and has now raised $10m in total, intends to use the funds for continued product innovation.

Led by David Greenberg, Founder and CEO, and newly appointed Ryan Hubbard, Chief Technology Officer, Updater provides a platform where Americans can update any of over 10,000 accounts and subscriptions efficiently and simultaneously, file their official USPS mail forwarding form, transfer and connect utilities. It also provides real estate brokerages and sales agents, mortgage professionals, moving companies, and property managers with branded technology to share with their clients.
