According to a post, Cover, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of an Android lock screen app, has been acquired by Twitter (NYSE: TWTR).
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Co-founded by Todd Jackson, CEO, Edward Ho, CTO, and Gordon Luk, Software Engineer, Cover is an Android-only lockscreen replacement that shows users the right apps at the right time. It displays productivity apps when they are at work, relaxing apps at home, and navigation apps in the car.
Cover will remain available in the Play Store while the team will focus on Twitter “to take these ideas even further“.
