Italian investment firm Quadrivio sgr launched a €100m venture capital fund, reports said.
Fondo TT Venture Due will invest in tech startups focusing on Life Sciences, medTech, new materials and cleantech.
Elizabeth Marie Robinson, Ph.D in biotechnology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, President of Nicox Research Institute and co-founder of Nicox SA, has been named as Investment Director of the venture capital unit while Valentina Bocca has been named as CIO of TTVenture.
The investment committee will also include Börje Ekholm, Mario Ferrario, Galeazzo Scarampi, and Pierluigi Zappacosta.
The first TT Venture fund, which was managed by Fondamenta sgr, acquired by Quadrivio in 2012, made 23 investments in companies including M31, MilkyWay, Personal Factory, TTSeed, etc.
