The company, which has raised over $11m to date, intends to use the funds to hire more image recognition technology engineers and expand its content management and CRM capabilities to include other networks.
Led by Sharad Verma, CEO and Co-Founder, Piqora provides marketing and analytics tools for visual, interest-based networks such as Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram. Retailers, brands and publishers use its promotions and analytics engine to identify and connect with influential brand advocates, gain actionable insights into trending images, run photo and pin contests, and measure key ROI and engagement metrics to quantify brand engagement across visual networks. Clients include Crate & Barrel, Etsy, Z Gallerie, Wayfair, and Steve Madden.
The company has also announced the launch of Instagram Conversation Manager, a monitoring product that enables brands to engage their Instagram communities outside Instagram’s mobile app, using a web-based dashboard. It aggregates comments and mentions from multiple Instagram profiles into a single feed, allowing brands to respond and track conversations.
