OwnZones Media Network, a Phoenix, based content curation platform, closed $5.9m in Series A financing.
The company intends to use the funds for marketing and further development of the platform.
Led by Dan Goman, CEO, OwnZones provides a content aggregation service for consumers to find, access, collect and subscribe to premium niche content. The platform provides free of advertising original content providing publishers with the opportunity to connect through high-quality print, audio and video media.
Partners include news agencies such as Reuters and The Guardian as well as niche providers like AeroCinema, RubberStampMadness and Shanti Arts.
To celebrate this milestone, the company will be removing its paywall for more than 5 weeks to offer access to print, audio and video content in its library of special-interest media from premier partners including Reuters, Guardian UK, YogaSessions.TV, AFP and more.
