M87, an Austin, Texas-based wireless network infrastructure software company, completed a $3m equity funding.
Backers included participation from 21Vianet and Qualcomm, through its venture capital arm, Qualcomm Ventures.
Led by David Hampton, CEO, M87 provides software that aims to improve the coverage and capacity of cellular networks by adding existing mobile devices to the infrastructure – creating a carrier-grade, device-to-device network.
