Flipps Raises $2.4M

Flipps Facts and Figures InfographicFlipps, a San Francisco, New York and Sofia, Bulgaria-based provider of an app to stream entertainment from a mobile device to TV, raised $2.4M in funding.

Backers included Earlybird Venture Capital and existing investors including Tim Draper.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its library of premium content.

Led by Kosta Jordanov, CEO, Flipps is a mobile app for entertainment enthusiasts to discover and project movies, music and videos onto any connected TV using their mobile device (as a remote control) without any additional hardware or set up.The mobile application is available for free on iOS and Android while the company’s patented technology works with over 250M connected TVs and is compatible with over 5,000 manufacturer models.

Flipps has over 100 channels in its library of licensed content including online TV series like Back On Topps, Hollywood movies, and news from The Washington Post.
