ElasticBox, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of solutions that allow developers and businesses to deploy and manage apps, raised $9m in Series A funding.
Backers included Nexus Venture Partners and Intel Capital.
Founded in 2011 by CEO Ravi Srivatsav, ElasticBox enables developers and enterprises to create, deploy and manage applications. The company has introduced a modular way to develop applications in the cloud through boxes, which are encapsulated, configured components of an application architecture. They are made available as a service and are reusable for collaboration and deployment.
The company is hiring.
a16z seed and Sierra Ventures had previously invested in ElasticBox.
