Gigwalk, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a local visibility software platform for consumer brands, raised $10m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Nokia Growth Partners with participation from new backer Randstad Holding nv and previous investors August Capital, Harrison Metal and SoftTech. In conjunction with the funding, Paul Asel of NGP joined Gigwalk’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop and scale its platform, expand partnerships with consumer brands and retailers, as well as hire new people.
Led by Bob Bahramipour, CEO, Gigwalk provides a software platform for consumer brands that aims to deliver local visibility of in-store conditions, improve collaboration with retailers, and eliminate blind spots in trade spend, product distribution and in-store merchandising.
According to a note, the company has just surpassed 500,000 mobile-enabled independent contractors, also known as Gigwalkers, who can be deployed to any location, delivering real-time on-the-ground visibility.
