DigitalOcean Closes $37.2M Series A Funding
DigitalOcean, a NYC-based developer of a cloud automation platform focused on user experience and simplicity, closed a $37.2m Series A funding.
The company intends to use the funds for infrastructure development, growth of the engineering team (read here).
Led by Chief Executive Officer Ben Uretsky, DigitalOcean provides developer with a platform that offers an automated web infrastructure for deploying and customize web-based applications.
The company scalable virtual private servers with the smallest plan ($5 a month/$0.007 an hour) being 512MB.
It has servers in New York, San Francisco, Amsterdam, and Singapore.
