Sideband Networks Raises $6M in Series A Funding

Sideband Networks, a Sunnyvale, CA-based provider of a network performance monitoring solution, raised $6m in Series A funding.

The names of the backers remined undisclosed.

The company intends to use the funds for product development and marketing programs.

Launched in November 2013 by Zane Taylor, CEO, Sideband Networks provides an application aware network performance monitoring solution that gives CIOs, network engineers and IT administrators a complete understanding of their networks.
Users can monitor live traffic analytics and have the ability to correlate live data with logged data and dynamic network discovery with a complete network map to recognize and address network anomalies.
The company has also appointed Roger Choplin as Vice President of Engineering. In his role, He is responsible for the design, development, performance and quality of all of Sideband Networks products, including the vXRE Virtual Appliance and XRE Hardware Appliance.
