Regen Energy Inc., a Toronto, Canada- and Newport Beach, California-based developer of a wireless electrical load management and automated demand response platform, held a USD$7m initial close to its Series B round.
The investment was led by an international energy company with participation from existing investors NGEN Partners and the BDC Venture Capital Energy/Cleantech Fund.
The company intends to use the funds to increase marketing, sales and support infrastructure while continuing to grow in North America and internationally, as well as to enhance the features of its product line.
Led by Tim Angus, President and CEO, Regen provides building owners with a patented wireless smart grid technology platform, Swarm Energy Management™, to manage their electrical demand and small to mid-sized commercial, industrial and institutional buildings with no building automation to participate in the auto demand response and dynamic load management markets.
