Plannify, a Milan, Italy-based event search engine, raised €725k in funding.
Backers included Digital Magics, where the company is incubated, Atlante Seed, Gruppo Uvet, Withfounders and other business angels.
The company intends to use the funds to develop its mobile and social platform and expand abroad.
Co-founded by Enrico Gennari, Carlo Scabin, and Luigi Gioni, CEO, and also led by newly named president Massimo Fregnani, Plannify provides a search engine dedicated to discovering events (shows, concerts, restaurants, experiences, sports, etc.) in Italy and abroad, sharing and commenting on them on social networks, as well as acquiring tickets online.
The company is now improving the search engine in order to collect the highest number of events possible. It will also develop a smartphone and tablet app, will release new agenda features and will launch new versions in Europe.
Plannify plans to add developers, designers, content editors and sales professionals.
