Motion Engine Closes $1M Seed Funding

Motion Engine, a Montreal, Canada-based a fabless MEMS device startup, closed a $1m seed funding.

Unnamed angel investors from Canada, the United States and Asia participated in the round.

The company, which also received $150k from the MiQro Innovation Collaborative Centre (C2MI) through the Centres of Excellence for Commercialization and Research (CECR) program, is using the funds to continue the development of its technology and related intellectual property.

Founded in 2013 by president Louis Ross, Motion Engine specializes in the development and commercialization of motion sensing enabling devices and systems and related applications.
