Localytics Raises $16M in Series C Financing

localyticsLocalytics, a Boston, MA-based provider of an analytics and marketing platform for mobile and web apps, raised $16m in Series C financing.

The round, which brought the total amount raised to date to $25m, was led by new investor Foundation Capital, with participation from existing investor Polaris Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Foundation Capital General Partner Ashu Garg, joined Localytics’ board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds for product development, sales and customer service, as well as for international expansion.

Led by CEO Raj Aggarwal, Localytics provides an analytics and marketing platform for mobile and web apps, which allows organizations to gain insights into user behaviors, and to create automated marketing programs for user acquisition, targeted push and in-app messaging, and a personalized in-app experience.
The platform is used by more than 5,000 companies, is installed in more than 20,000 apps on more than 1.4 billion devices.

The company, which also has offices in San Francisco and London, serves ESPN, Clear Channel, SoundCloud, eBay, Fox and Microsoft, among others.
