Capillary Technologies, a Bangalore, India-based provider of Intelligent CRM solutions, received an investment from American Express Ventures.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
American Express Ventures joined Sequoia Capital, Norwest Venture Partners and Qualcomm Ventures as investors in the company, which will use the additional capital to expand in the U.S. and other major markets globally.
Led by Aneesh Reddy, co-founder and CEO, Capillary Technologies provides a suite of Intelligent Customer Engagement™ solutions that enables retailers to capture and analyze data on customer behavior and shopping preferences through social, e-mail, local and mobile channels. Marketers and in-store sales associates can access tools for cross-selling, up-selling and strengthening customer engagement.
The company’s customer engagement solutions allow merchants to provide real-time personalized recommendations to shoppers and offer relevant promotions across any channel they choose including physical stores, e-newsletters, social media (including Facebook fan pages and Twitter), mobile text message and a retailer’s web site.
Capillary’s platform currently powers more than 150 major brands across 10,000 retail locations. Customers include Benetton, Nicole Miller, Nike, Marks & Spencer, Puma, Pizza Hut and Tennis Express.
